The Vietnamese Embassy in Canada is participating in the 2017 Travel and Vacation Show in Ottawa on March 25-26 with two pavilions introducing the beauty of Vietnam’s landscapes and people.
In addition to providing tourism information and travel documents, the Vietnamese booths are showcasing many publications favored by visitors, namely “Vietnam, my love”, “Vietnam, my homeland”, “Hello Vietnam” and “Vietnam, endless charm”.
Exhibits on display, such as Non La (conical leaf hat), rattan baskets and bicycles, are among fascinating attractions for international viewers at the event.
Visitors at the Vietnamese pavilions will have the chance to enjoy a complimentary coffee and view beautiful photographs depicting the country’s world-famous tourist attractions, including Ha Long Bay, Sapa, Son Doong Cave, the Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park and the Tam Coc-Bich Dong scenic complex. Also, they will be presented tourism maps of Vietnam and manuals introducing craft villages, food culture and tourist types in the Southeast Asian country.
According to statistics, more than 100,000 Canadian tourists choose Vietnam as their destination annually. These advertising activities contribute to attracting more international visitors from Canada in particular and from North America as a whole to Vietnam.
The Ottawa event, the 23rd of its kind, is one of the most prestigious and professional annual tourism shows in North America and the largest in Canada.
As part of cultural activities to mark the 150th founding anniversary of Canada, the exhibition offers a platform for travel agencies to meet and discuss cooperation opportunities, and for tourists to collect information and select suitable destinations.
A number of seminars on tourism and a world food space with the presence of internationally acclaimed chefs are being held under the framework of the event.
