High-ranking Vietnamese military delegation pays an official visit to Canada

May 04 – 12, 2019: A high-ranking Vietnamese military delegation led by Defense Minister, General Ngô Xuân Lịch visited Canada from May 4th to 12th, at the invitation of the Canadian Defence Minister Harjit Singh Sajjan.

At the bilateral meeting, the two Ministers signed a Memorandum of Understanding on defense cooperation between Viet Nam’s Defense Ministry and the Canada’s Department of National Defence and the Canadian Armed Forces, which provides legal basis for the two sides to tap all potentials for defense cooperation between the two countries.

The visit of the Defense Minister Ngô Xuân Lịch aims to foster the implementation of the foreign policy of the Party and State of Viet Nam and to beef up cooperation, friendship, and trust between the two Defense Ministries, contributing to promoting the Viet Nam-Canada comprehensive partnership.
