According to the Special Communique of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, the National Assembly of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, the President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, the Government of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and the family, comrade Nguyen Phu Trong, General Secretary of the Party’s Central Committee, passed away at 13:38 on July 19, 2024 in Hanoi, at the age of 80.
The funeral of comrade Nguyen Phu Trong, General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, will be held as a State Funeral.
To express our infinite condolences and respect for the great and outstanding contributions of comrade General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong to the glorious revolutionary cause of the Party and Nation, the Embassy of Vietnam in Canada will hold funeral and memorial service at the headquarter of the Embassy.
