From March 4th to 8th 2019, Ambassador of Viet Nam to Canada Nguyen Duc Hoa visited the cities of Edmonton and Calgary in Alberta at the invitation of leaders of Alberta, with an aim to promoting the cooperation between localities and businesses from both countries. Ambassador Nguyen Duc Hoa met with the Mayor of Strathcona; representatives of the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of Alberta, Edmonton Chamber of Commerce, Alberta’s Industrial Heartland Association, and businesses in the fields of trade, tourism, education and industry. During the meetings, Canadian partners introduced Edmonton Global Strategic Plan 2018 – 2023 and investment projects open to foreign investors. Both sides discussed ways to expand cooperation in education, vocational training, students exchange, environment protection, treatment of waste and wastewater, fighting climate change, clean energy, agriculture. Leaders of Strathcona affirmed the continued implementation of Municipal Partnership Program between Strathcona and Vung Tau city.
