IMPORTANT NOTES

  1. Visas issued by Viet Nam Embassy are regular (physical) visas, not electronic visas (e-visas). Visas issued by Viet Nam Embassy are accepted to enter Viet Nam through any airports, seaports or land border gates, but electronic visas can only be used to enter Viet Nam through airports and certain sea ports/land border gates. Electronic visas (e-visas) are issued by Immigration Department of Viet Nam. Applicants for e-visas sometimes encounter technical problems (such as failed payment, incorrect information on e-visas issued to them, delay in processing leading to the applicants having to miss the flights…). In those cases, you need to contact Immigration Department of Viet Nam by yourself to fix it.
  2. For Visas issued by Viet Nam Embassy, standard processing time is about 2 weeks. In cases of urgency, you should apply for Urgent Landing Visas and Approval could be granted within 24 hours. (Urgent Processing fees will apply). Please contact us by email visa@vietnamembassy.ca for more details.
  3. The valid duration of tourist visa issued by Viet Nam Embassy is up to 01 month.
  4. If you want to apply for business visas, your business partners in Viet Nam need to work with Immigration Department of Viet Nam and obtain Approval Letter for your visa request. Then, you can send your Visa Application (together with the Approval Letter) to Viet Nam Embassy for processing.
  5. Visa application fees are non-refundable. However, your credit card will not be charged until we have contacted you by phone to advise you of the fees and you have confirmed with us by email that you are OK with the fees.
  6. Visas issued by Viet Nam Embassy will be shipped to you by either Fedex or Canada Post. Fedex service is usually faster and fewer delays. Important: You need to make sure the mailing address you provide in your application is correct and complete (with postal code and unit number, if any). If the visas can not be delivered to you due to incorrect or incomplete mailing address, the visa package may be returned to Viet Nam Embassy, and you will need to pay for shipping again.
  7. For cruise travel: if all the ports are in the territory of Viet Nam, then you only need a single entry visa. If you leave Viet Nam maritime area, go to another port in another country, and then return to Viet Nam, then a multiple entries visa will be required.
  8. For transit: You do not need a visa if you just transit and stay in the airport before taking the connecting flight. If you leave the airport to go to the city before taking the next flight, you will need to apply for a visa.
  9. Your Passport needs to be valid for at least 6 months upon your arrival in Vietnam. Holders of Travel Document can not apply for visas issued by Vietnam Embassy.
  10. The best way to contact Viet Nam Embassy about your visa application is by email visa@vietnamembassy.ca because our phone system is often overloaded with phone calls.
