Ottawa, July 16, 2020: Ambassador of Viet Nam to Canada Pham Cao Phong presented his Letter of Credence to Canadian Governor General Julie Payette today in a virtual ceremony – the first of its kind in Canada.

In her welcome address, the Governor General Julie Payette expressed her delight to have Ambassador Pham Cao Phong to represent Viet Nam in Canada and contribute to enhancing the friendly relationship between the two countries. She also took the occasion to recall a meeting with the Prime Minister of Viet Nam Nguyen Xuan Phuc in Quebec city in 2018 and send her greetings to the Prime Minister.
